FIRE FIGHTER [Post Level 10: Salary Scale R96, 204.00 – R109, 044.00 per annum plus benefits] REQUIREMENTS: • Grade 12 / relevant qualification at NQF level 04, • Certificate in Fire Fighter 1 Course, • HAZMAT Awareness and valid First Aid certificate or Basic Ambulance Course • Valid code C1 driver’s license. • At least 2 to 3 years experience KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO): • Respond to fire and all emergencies incidents, • Conducting the day to day preparedness of equipment to respond to fire and emergency incidents • Undertakes specific activities during disasters and/or establishes and communicates potential risk hazard situations • Rendering basic first aid to rescue victims to help recuperation and supporting the medical team with transporting/ holding victims. • Attend to risk visits, drills, lectures, station duties, control room duties and humanitarian services, • Check inventory and operate all appliances and equipment, • Candidates must be prepared to be transferred to any Local Municipality with Chris Hani District Municipality, NB: ALL SHORT-LISTED CANDIDATES WILL BE SUBJECTED TO COMPETENCY DRIVING NOTE: In compliance with the Chris Hani District Municipality Employment Equity Plan, preference will be given to suitably qualified African female in the above position.
