Welcome Note
The Department of Integrated Planning and Economic Development (IPED) is strategically placed within the broader organisation tasked with the responsibility of ensuring integration, as its name connotes alignment of programmes and ensuring linkages for efficient, effective and concerted service delivery.
The department not only provides external, i.e. technical support to local municipalities under the CHDM jurisdiction, but also facilitates internal coherent processes regarding strategic direction of the organisation as conceptualised within the Integrated Development Plan of the district municipality.
