121 young people from four local municipalities within Chris Hani District Municipality are undergoing training in various agricultural fields like automotive electricians, diesel motor mechanics, tractor driving, automotive mechanics.
Welcoming young people CHDM Executive Mayor Cllr Wongama Gela, said, Skills Development is one of the key socio-economic roles of the district municipality through Integrated Planning and Economic Development to drive the district towards sustained economic viability.
Chris Hani Co-operative Development Centre in partnership with MerSETA are leading this skills development programme targeting youth from rural communities.
