2022-2027 IDP STAKEHOLDERS NOTICE
2022-2027 CHDM & ITS LM’s INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT PLAN PROCESS
The Municipal Systems Act No, 32 of 2000, Chapter 5, Sec 25 requires Municipalities to develop Integrated Development Plan (IDP). Chapter 4 of the same MSA No 32 of 2000 which stresses Community Participation further makes provision for municipalities to establish Appropriate Mechanism, Processes and Procedures to enable the local community to participate in the affairs of the Municipality.
In complying with the legislation Chris Hani District Municipality, together with its local Municipalities (Enoch Mgijima, Intsika Yethu, Sakhisizwe, Engcobo, Inxuba Yethemba and Emalahleni) are in the process of developing their 5 year IDP for the period 2022 to 2027. The Chris Hani District Municipality together with its local municipalities will be establishing the IDP/Budget/PMS Representative Forums which comprise of all relevant Stakeholders i.e. Traditional Leaders, Community Leaders, Civic Society Members, NGO’s, CBO’s, Pressure/Advocacy Groups, Representatives of interested Groups, Old Age Group, Representatives of Political Parties, Sector Departments and other interested Stakeholders interested about development of the Chris Hani District Municipality Jurisdiction.
This notice seeks to request that should any organisation or interested party wishes to participate in the IDP Processes of Chris Hani District Municipality and its Local Municipalities to please contact the relevant person on the list below so that your Organisation/ Name can be added on the list of Stakeholders of IDP/Budget/PMS Stakeholders.
