Basic Recycling Workshop
Basic Recycling Workshop was conducted today at Thobi Kula Indoor Sport Centre targeting Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality waste pickers/sorters and collectors.
Government institutions in Komani established waste management systems to improve local recycling value chain for the benefit of community members contributing to the preservation of the environment and further boost the local economy.
This workshop was undertaken in partnership with Petco and EMLM aiming to build capacity and share information on the value of waste under the Theme: Turning Waste into Opportunity: Empowering Communities Through Recycling.
Companies such as Crosspoint and Danto GreenSpace Projects shared their success stories and recycling opportunities with EMLM waste pickers.
