The villages of Esigangeni, Ndenxe, Chotho, Nomadambe and Qumamco were part of the 427 Emergency Houses Programme which was meant for the replacement of temporal shelters by permanent structures to disaster affected beneficiaries throughout the district.
Opening of Paved Wodehouse and Bells Road
The eagerly anticipated opening of the paved Wodehouse and Bells Road in Komani, happened this morning after a 5 month long interval between the launch that took place in January this year.
The labour intensive project saw some 27 young people getting employment under the EPWP programme. Of much significance is that the youth will receive certified training to enable them to sustain themselves through job creations.
