Chris Hani District Municipality has joined hands with the Eastern Cape House of Traditional Leaders in hosting a Memorial Lecture to honour one of its esteemed leaders, Nkosi Ngangomhlaba Matanzima, at Nkosi Ngangomhlaba Homestead in Cofimvaba on 29 September 2026.

In partnership with Department of Agriculture and NWGA, CHDM Executive Mayor, Cllr Lusanda Sizani will officially open the New Bengu Shearing Shed on 22 September 2026. This is part of government support programmes to local farmers and SMMEs as sanctioned by District Local Economic Development Strategy.
