Cleaning and filling of water tanks coupled with water quality testing is underway at Inxuba Yethemba LM (Middelburg) to ensure a supply of clean drinking water as an interim measure while water is being restored.

Chris Hani Development Agency (CHDA), in partnership with the National Cleaner Production Centre South Africa (NCPC-SA), Luanched Promoting Cleaner Production Programme through the Global Eco-Industrial Parks in Komani Industrial Park.
For startups, the programme aimed at training businesses to adopt cleaner production practices that reduce carbon emissions, conserve water, optimize material use, and improve waste management – driving sustainability and operational efficiency across Komani industrial park.

Also the municipality has given an opportunity for engagement on other issues such as tariff increases, smart water meters and water supply challenges.
