CHDM in partnership with National Wool Grower’s Association held 5th Annual CHDM Wool Growers Indaba in Cacadu,Emalahleni LM where Executive Mayor, Cllr Lusanda Sizani handed over 200 rams to farmers. Key to this Indaba is to resolve various issues ranging from genetic improvement, agri infrastructure, land tenure, wool & stock theft as well as problem animal.
In his address, Cllr Lusanda Sizani said “we are grateful to have this event during Chris Hani Month where we are also celebrating 30 years of democracy in South Africa. We are encouraging farmers in our district to unite and work together in order to yield quality production”.
“Also, the municipality will continue supporting farmers through various initiatives, currently we constructing Fertilizer Blending Plant that will benefit our local farmers”,he said.
The municipality committed in bringing together all farmers, not only those who are wool production, hence the recent establishment of CHDM Agricultural Investment Forum.
