CIVIC EDUCATION DRIVE

The Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality, in partnership with the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature and the South African Youth Council (SAYC), hosted a Civic Education Drive at Ezibeleni Zone 3 Community Hall.

The programme aimed to educate residents, especially young people, on their democratic rights and responsibilities. The focus was on informed citizenship, voter education, and encouraging active participation in democratic processes ahead of future elections.

Residents were urged to know their rights, get involved, and use their voices to make a positive impact in their communities.

This initiative forms part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen democracy by ensuring that our communities are informed, engaged, and empowered to help shape the future of South Africa.
