Construction is underway for the Sada Water Treatment Works Augmentation Project

Construction is underway for the Sada Water Treatment Works Augmentation Project, in Sada Township, Enoch Mgijima local municipality.
The project intends to increase capacity of the plant from the current 11 million litres to 22 million to improve water service provision for Sada Township, Whittlesea and Sada Prison.
Works include construction a 12 mega-litre reservoir, an additional raw water reservoir; a dedicated line from Sada water works to a reservoir above Ekuphumleni and to a 6 megalitre reservior located next to WSU Campus.
CHDM Executive Mayor, Cllr Lusanda Sizani, MPL Dr Fundisile Bhese , Cllr Sinomtha Madubedube and Ward Councillors from Enoch Mgijima LM visited the site, as part of Water Tuesdays, to monitor to progress of works. Upon completion, the project will improve water service provision in the area.
