CHDM Executive Mayor, Cllr Lusanda Sizani and Inxuba Yethemba Local Municipality Executive Mayor, Cllr Noncedo Zonke joined the Provincial and National Government leadership for the official handover of the Kuroson 2 multi-billion renewable energy project, led by Envusa Energy, connecting Middelburg in the Eastern Cape and Noupoort in the Northern Cape through a 20-year agreement.
This project is more than just energy — it brings real hope. It will help ease pressure on the Eskom grid and contribute towards reducing load shedding, while also creating opportunities for our people. Already, hundreds of residents have benefited, and 100 community members are now employed in environmental maintenance, equally shared between Middelburg and Noupoort.
