Local government communicators forum in OR Tambo District Municipality
The department of Cogta through its Corporate Communication Directorate is currently convening a quarterly two day local government communicators forum in the OR Tambo District Municipality, Mthatha.
The forum is attended by all local government communicators across the Eastern Cape Province as well as South African Local Government Association (Salga) and Government Communication and Information System( GCIS).
The objectives are to:
.Get progress reports on the Action Issues from the 3rd Quarter LGCF session.
.Update on the finalisation of the Communication Strategies
.Share information on Branding and Protocol practices
.Share information on the monitoring of the use of official languages
.To update on crisis management issues and action plans
The forum also got an update on the O.R.Tambo District Development Model(DDM) One Plan
