Local Government Communicator’s Forum

Today, Local Government Communicators convened at the Salga Offices in East London for their two-day quarterly Forum. This Forum, spearheaded by Cogta, represents a collaborative effort among GCIS – Eastern Cape, Salga Eastern Cape, and the Pan South African Language Board.
The objectives for this quarter’s Forum include the presentation of Communication Action Plan pertaining to Local Government Elections, Municipal Reports, an updated Government Communication Policy, and Linguistic Human Rights Empowerment.
Mr. Sonwabo Gqegqe, Salga Provincial Director, also presented their Service Delivery Profiling Campaign, which utilizes podcasts, and encouraged Communicators to collaborate on this initiative.
