Long Live the spirit of Vuyisile Mini Long Live…
Local, Provincial and National government leaders gathered at Mhlahlana to honour the Reburial of the remains of the galant fighter, Vuyisile Mini.
Minister for Justice and Correctional Services, Ronald Lamola, Minister for Defence and Military Veterans Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, Premier of the Eastern Cape Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane, CHDM Exevutive Mayor Cllr Wongama Gela, Intsika Yethu Mayor Cllr Bongani Mpengesi leading their respective delegations have landed in Mhlahlana Village to honour this Reburial Ceremony.
This ceremony coincides with the 56th anniversary of Mr Mini’s execution. The President of South Africa declared the reburial of the remains of Mr Mini a Special Provincial Official Funeral Category 1. Mr Mini is a Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC)-identified victim who was hanged on death row on 06 November 1964.
