CHDM EAGER TO LEARN FROM BEST PRACTICES AS THEY VISIT KWADUKUZA LOCAL MUNICIPALITY IN KWAZULU-NATAL
A delegation from Chris Hani District Municipality is on a two day visit to Kwa Dukuza Local Municipality in Stanger in the Kwazulu-Natal province. The visit is aimed at strengthening the capacity of the DMPT members on the implementation of Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act (SPLUMA). The visit which is scheduled for Thursday, 28 June to-29 June 2019 will provide an opportunity for the delegation to undertake a site inspection, attend Kwa Dukuza Local Municipality MPT sitting and wrap up with an engagement session between the two municipalities.
SPLUMA is a National Law that was passed by the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa in 2013. CHDM established its DMPT in 2017 and more eager to empower the team for a more effective and efficient implementation of SPLUMA.
