CHDM Mayoral Committee led by the Deputy Executive Mayor, Cllr Noncedo September Caba is visiting Middelburg, Inxuba Yethemba LM today to engage and give account to the community on water and sanitation related issues. This is part of Chris Hani Water Tuesdays initiative adopted by the Executive Mayor to accelerate water and sanitation services initiatives in the district. Inxuba Yethemba LM Executive Mayor, Cllr Noncedo Zonke welcomed all delegates to the venue.

CHDM Municipal Manager, Mr Gcobani Mashiyi shared robust interventions put in place by the district to augment on the shortage of water sources.

To date – a water treatment plant was constructed and commissioned, followed by a construction and equipping of four new boreholes that supply water to the area.
