WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
#WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY I MMC for Health and Community Services, Cllr Fatyela, alongside Dr AB Xuma Local Municipality Executive Mayor, Cllr Siyabulela Zangqa, led the World Environment Day celebration at Tembeni Primary School, Engcobo. The event was hosted in partnership with DEDEAT and the Department of Agriculture.
This year’s theme, “Beat Plastic Pollution,” highlighted the urgent need to tackle plastic waste in our communities.
Schools that participated included:
– Engcobo Primary School
– Zanengqele Primary School
– Engcobo Village School
To support local environmental efforts, CHDM handed over:
– 4 Wheelie Bins
– 2 Bulk Recycling Bags
– 12 Spekboom Plants
Together, we are raising environmentally conscious learners and building cleaner, greener communities!
