The Department of Health under Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality in collaboration with CHDM, various sector departments, civil society organizations, and the private sector, hosted a powerful Cancer Awareness 05 KM Walk under the Theme: “United by Unique” in Sandringham today, the 22 October 2025. The program focused on breast cancer and mental health awareness, emphasizing early detection, timely treatment, and ongoing community support.Influenced by the unique stories of survivors, this initiative is a step forward in breaking the stigma, honoring survivors, and remembering those who’ve bravely fought the battle.
The programme began in the morning with a Walk followed by Aerobics, then educational talks from health specialists, and finally, health checks from on-site services on wheels.
