Regional Environmental Awards

Today marked the first day of the Regional Environmental Awards at the Whittlesea Multi-Purpose Centre, coordinated by DEDEAT in partnership with Chris Hani District Municipality.
This annual competition challenges primary and high schools to tackle two environmental themes for a chance to secure a spot in the Top 5.
Chris Hani DM has committed R200,000 to inspire participation and deepen environmental impact in rural schools. It further allocated a R5,000 voucher for prescribed school support material to the 5th-place winners (primary and high school), courtesy of the Executive Mayor’s Award.
