While the district has historically demonstrated strong performance across key TB indicators reflecting solid programme capacity recent trends have shown a rise in lost-to-follow-up cases. This has called for renewed focus on strengthening interventions and ensuring that no patient is left behind.

The day’s programme began with a political briefing, setting the tone for a coordinated and impactful response. Government departments are also on the ground, bringing “services on wheels” directly to the communities of Sakhisizwe Local Municipality—ensuring access to essential health and support services.
