World Wetlands Day
#WorldWetlandsDay I Acting Executive Mayor, Cllr Malibongwe Fatyela addressed the community of Ward 8, Sakhisizwe gathered at AM Zantsi SSS, Manzimahle today on a World Wetlands Day 2025 celebrations. World Wetland Day is a programme that seeks to advocate for the protection and preservation of Wetlands. This year’s theme is: “Protecting Wetlands for Our Common Future”.
These celebrations saw two schools in the area, BB Mdledle SPS receiving Maths kit whilst AM Zantsi SSS a science kit both from the Eastern Cape Gambling Board for representing and winning awards for Chris Hani District during the Provincial Environmental Awards 2024.
Stakeholders such as Eastern Cape Gambling Board; Eastern Cape Department of Education; @Sanparks; Eastern Cape Department of Health; Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism: Working on Fire;etc engaged and shared their services during the event.
