Molteno Service Delivery Point Office was officially handed over to the community

First of its kind, Molteno Service Delivery Point Office was officially handed over to the community by the MEC for the Department of Social Development and Special Programmes, Hon Bukiwe Fanta. The office is set to offer the following:
– Older persons services
– Disability services
– Child Care and Protection Programmes
– Victim Empowerment Programmes
– Crime Prevention Programme (Children in conflict with the law)
– Community Development Programmes
– Psycho Social Support to HIV/AIDS

The Office of the UIF Commissioner in the Department of Employment and Labour held a Breakfast Session at @Queens Casino and Hotel this morning. The programme seeks to create awareness about the UIF’s compliance procedures. It further allowed stakeholders to directly engage on various issues that caused unnecessary employee conflicts.

Day 4 of Consultative Engagements | The engagement on Water Scheme Operators and Community Service Providers (CSPs) is in progress at Komani, Enoch Mgijima LM led by Executive Mayor, Cllr Madoda Papiyana.
In this meeting, CHDM Executive Mayor, Cllr Lusanda Sizani is engaging with operators about the replacement of those who are above the age of 60 years.

DAY 2: CHRIS HANI REGIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL AWARD COMPETITION
15 high schools are battling it out for five top positions that will be announced later today. The theme for high schools is “Appreciate the purpose and the role of EIA in the decision-making process”. The first prize is a whooping R136 000 prize money with R100 000 being the value of a science kit sponsored by the Eastern Cape Gambling Board.

Chris Hani Regional Environmental Awards Competition 2024

The top five primary schools that walked away with prizes are as follows:
1st Prize – B.B Mdledle SPS (Sakhisizwe LM) R36 680, Roving trophy, R1 100 worth of trees, 200 Seedlings, 2 Nights at the Mountain Zebra Game Drive, Branded t-shirt and medals.
2nd Prize – Thornvalle PS (Enoch Mgijima LM) R25 000, R1 100 worth of trees, 200 Seedlings, Branded t-shirts and medals.
3rd Prize – Step ahead PS (Intsika Yethu LM) R17 000, R1 100 worth of trees, 200 seedlings and medals.
4th-Rainbow Prep PS (Intsika Yethu LM) R15 00, R1 100 worth of trees, 200 Seedlings, t-shirts and medals.
5th Prize- Jongimishini (Intsika Yethu LM) R5000, R1 100 worth of trees, 200 Seedlings.
All participats from number six to thirty received a whooping R4 250 each for participating in this year’s environmental awards.
The winner will represent the district in the provincial awards scheduled to take place in the Alfred Nzo District soon.

Two-day Chris Hani Regional Environmental Awards 2024

Two-day Chris Hani Regional Environmental Awards 2024 have commenced at Whittlesea Multi-purpose Centre with a warm welcome from CHDM MMC, Cllr Thembisile Bobo, where 45 schools (30 primary schools and 15 high schools), are competing to win big prizes. The competition is conducted under the theme: Planet Earth, our source of life, our future. Day 1 focuses on primary schools.
This annual Programme is led by the Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism working together with DRDAR, CHDM, EMLM, DFFE, DOE, South African National Parks, and others.
