Smoke has spread in most parts of Komani.
Chdm fire services, Enoch Mgijima LM, Farmers Fire Protection Associations and Volunteers are battling yet another fire in the Lawrence De Lange game reserve and nearby mountains. Controlling the fire is made difficult by strong winds currently blowing in the area. Smoke has spread in most parts of Komani.
We urge motorists to be cautious and residents to be vigilant.

Reports of a wildfire on the R67 between KwaMaqoma (Fort Beaufort) and Komani (Queestown) at or nearer to the Nico Malan Pass.
Fire services and Provincial Traffic have been activated, However visibility is very poor and the road will be temporarily closed until the smoke is cleared up to avoid any motor vehicle accidents.
